About This Event
Ask any founder how things are going and you’ll usually hear “great, we’re growing.” Ask them over a drink a few months later and you might hear the real story.
That’s the conversation we want to have.
Founders Horror Stories is an evening of honest stories about building a company in this market: the funding round that fell through at the last minute, the hire that went wrong, the month the money ran out, the deal that should have happened but didn’t. Three founders will talk about the moment their company nearly didn’t make it and what they did next.
After that, we open the floor. Anyone in the room can take the mic for two minutes and share their own story. Then an investor from the Latitude59 network will close the night by sharing what they would have done differently, and what founders often don’t see from their side of the table.
It’s for founders at any stage, investors, operators, corporates working with startups, and anyone who wants to meet the people building companies in Nairobi. Expect real conversations, people you should know, and a room that’s easy to talk in.

This is the official pre-event for Latitude59xKenya 2026, on 3–4 December in Nairobi. Latitude59 started in Estonia and now brings founders, investors and ecosystem leaders together across Europe, Africa and Asia. Last year’s Kenya edition drew 2,000 people from 50 countries. If you’re planning to be there in December, this is a good place to meet some of them early.
We have space for 140 people, so please register early.
